Treasurer
Responsibilities:
- - Analytically determining the financial risks of events and activities and assessing the financial health of ABC as an organisation, while maximising the quality and seeking for new opportunities.
- Collecting, processing, and analysing financial data as a means to improve the budgeting and auditing process.
- Disclosing (semi) annual financial reports.
- Determining the financial strategy.
- Assessing investments in software, equipment, and other investments.
The treasurer is responsible for collecting, processing, and analysing all financial data and keeps track of all incoming and outgoing cash flows. As a result, the treasurer manages the budget and realisation overview per event and activity and aggregates these in the annual budget and realisation overview to assess the overall financial health of ABC. Additionally, the treasurer assesses the financial risks of all events and activities and is responsible for the long term financial strategy and objectives of ABC. The treasurer creates the (semi) annual financial report that includes the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement and reports to the Audit Committee three times per academic year, by having the committee audit the books.
